A Tribute from Adrian Luces

My dear voice teacher, Susan Fisher Clickner, has passed away in Boston. I was not assigned to Susan as my voice teacher when I first arrived at NEC but when I approached her about taking me into her studio, she was very welcoming. I was thrilled and honored to be a part of her outstanding roster, of whom many were regional and national Met audition winners. Despite her being a highly respected classical/opera voice teacher, she always encouraged me to keep on singing jazz, pop and Broadway. I remain forever grateful to her for her belief in me as a singer, with constant support over the years since I graduated and for her always keeping me in check as a student. Rest in peace dear friend and educator. I will certainly miss our phone calls because since I graduated from NEC in 1984 I would call her at least once a year and have a great conversation.
